State Testing

Students in grades 3-12 will undergo state testing from April 7 through April 24.

Here is some important information to keep in mind.

Grades 3-8

April 8-9 - Elementary/Middle School ELA (grades 3-8)
April 15-16 - Elementary/Middle School Science (Grades 5 and 8 only)
April 23-24 - Elementary/Middle School Math (Grades 3-8)

Testing will begin promptly at 8:30 am on testing days. Make-up days/times will be determined after the initial testing day/time has been completed. Middle School students enrolled in HS level courses with state tests will take the state tests on the days listed above.

The state requires students to use wired headphones and recommends a wired mouse if needed. Every student has access to a trackpad, which can function as a mouse for state testing. Please note that the district will not provide either headphones or mice.

To help students prepare at home for testing, please be sure students get adequate sleep and get a healthy breakfast. *Breakfast is available for purchase at NRAC each morning, so students can get a healthy meal before they go to class! Students should also make sure to charge their chromebook nightly and bring wired headphones and a wired computer mouse (if needed) on the days of their tests.

If you have questions about state testing, please don’t hesitate to reach out to me, your child’s associate principal or your child’s teachers.

Grades 9-12

Students who are testing will arrive at NRHS at the normal time, by 8:20 AM. 4All other students will have late arrival on testing dates. You can see the full schedule here.
